Antonio Durand Trujillo, ratific\u00f3 mediante ordenanza municipal la declaraci\u00f3n de toda su jurisdicci\u00f3n como \u00abZona Agr\u00edcola, Tur\u00edstica, Ecol\u00f3gica y No Minera\u00bb. Este instrumento legal, presentado ante autoridades provinciales en una reuni\u00f3n extraordinaria llevada a cabo en el auditorio de la Municipalidad Provincial de Leoncio Prado, establece un marco de protecci\u00f3n para los suelos, r\u00edos y ecosistemas que sostienen la identidad productiva y cultural del distrito y la provincia.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83e\udd1dLa ordenanza (respaldada por estudios t\u00e9cnicos) prioriza la seguridad alimentaria basada en cultivos emblem\u00e1ticos como el pl\u00e1tano y cacao, el potencial ecotur\u00edstico de sus paisajes, y la conservaci\u00f3n de cuencas h\u00eddricas. \u00abEste es un acto de soberan\u00eda territorial que blindar\u00e1 nuestro futuro ante actividades extractivas incompatibles con nuestra visi\u00f3n de desarrollo\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Durand Trujillo durante su exposici\u00f3n ante representantes y autoridades de la provincia de Leoncio Prado.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udc4dA nivel provincial, inicia ahora una estrategia escalonada para ampliar esta protecci\u00f3n: la propuesta ser\u00e1 elevada al Gobierno Regional de Hu\u00e1nuco y posteriormente al Ministerio de Energ\u00eda y Minas, buscando que a trav\u00e9s de la Direcci\u00f3n General de Asuntos Ambientales Mineros (DGAAM) se reconozca a la Provincia de Leoncio Prado como provincia no minera.
